at weekends i at the weekend to British English zas on weekends i on the weekend to American English. Mozna tez spotkac sie z forma over the weekend lub zwlaszcza gdy chodzi o prace z takim zdaniem:

I never work weekends.

I'm not working this weekend.

Rzeczywiście formy "at the weekend" i "at weekends" są brytyjskie. Natomiast "on the weekend" i "on weekends" to formy amerykańskie.
