as well as

13 lat temu
Jak właściwie używa się sformułowania "as well as"? Czy ma ono funkcję podobną do "either" i wymaga klamry (We can either go home or stay at the party), czy jest raczej konstrukcją dodatkową (analogicznie do zdania rowijającego): "I like ice creams, as well as sweets"? W jaki sposób stworzyć zaetem klamrową konstrukcję "zarówno to, jak i to"? Czy rozwiązaniem jest słówko "both" (i czy wymaga ono spójnika "and")?

As well as znaczy , jak również, także, oraz
Używamy w np. takich zdaniach:
She is clever as well as beautiful. ( She is not only beautiful, but also clever.)
John, Jack and Sam are coming as well as our friends from Boston.
He hurt his arm, as well as breaking his leg.
Ta stronka powinna dużo wyjaśnić na temat tej konstrukcji : http://www.perfectyourenglish.com/usage/as-well-as.htm

Co do pozostałych konstrukcji to może komuś się przydadzą moje notatki:

either__or (albo__albo)
She is either Japanese or Chinese, I don't know.
We can either go home or stay at the party
You're either in, or you're out.

neither__nor (ani__ani)
Neither I nor my mum loves tomatoes
She is neither beautiful nor smart

both__and ( zarówno__jak i ) Zgadza sie, wymaga spójnika ;)
She is both beautiful and smart.
Both my mum and I love tomatoes (końcówka czasownika zależy od tego jaka osoba jest ostatnia)

the__the (im__tym)
The sooner, the better.
The older she is, the more forgetful she becomes.

aż --> as much as/ as many as
Znam aż sto osób - I know as many as 100 people

Pozdrówki;)

Marzyciel bardzo dobrze wytłumaczył problem, nic dodać, nic ująć.
