Missionaries of La Salette

The building was built in 1961 by the Missionaries of La Salette as a minor seminary.

Rice died in 1943, and the estate was sold to the Missionaries of La Salette, who established a spiritual retreat on the site.

The parish is staffed by the clergy of the Missionaries of La Salette.

The Nickersons owned the property until 1945, when it was purchased by the Missionaries of La Salette, who used it as a seminary.

In 1927, the site was sold to the Missionaries of La Salette, who converted the site into a seminary for the Catholic priesthood, school and conference site.

When the Shaker community closed, most of the land that made up the Enfield Shaker Village was sold to the Missionaries of La Salette.

The Oblates were later joined by the Missionaries of La Salette and those of Issoudun, France, the Redemptorists, and the Sons of Mary Immaculate.

The Missionaries of La Salette closed the seminary in 1974, and the center is now known as the Shrine of Our Lady of La Salette, which is a center of "reconciliation".
